I've been pvping all day, most i got before this was 800 souls
Depends on how many souls the dude you killed had on him (I think). Got 400k once.

Yeah the guy i was fighting has a buddy with him that was probably of a much higher level (maybe max level) It was that guy that i killed getting 547000 or so souls

Nope. I was the invader. Killed a phantom. That gave me 400k souls.
Only time you can ever get that many souls is in the Ringed City against Spears of the Church but you have to be like, super high level. I'm in the 300s and I get around that many souls, when I wear all the soul items.

Nah, you can kill passworded high SL phantoms
A buddy summoned me as a red sign earlier today so I could give him some Embers. I killed myself and he got 25k souls off me, and I'm level 349. So no, I sincerely doubt that one can get 500k souls from a SUMMONED phantom. Spears count as bosses, and so the souls you get from killing one is scaled up much higher. Which is why I mentioned it.
Not to mention, genius, that the OP is level 27. So obviously this was a cheater who gave him a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of souls. There's no way to get 500k off of a player phantom without them being a spear of the church, and certainly not any phantom in the range of a level 27 player.

Wait how the hell, were you the phantom? If you were the phantom, then apologies, I misread. that might be slightly more plausible, but only if that guy was around max level. Otherwise, I doubt it wasn't someone giving you free souls.
Password max lvl phantoms are epic. i love having +/- 1 Mio souls on my SL10 invading char. and most of those phantoms are using the DS great axe so you can backstab them to death
infinite resins, firebombs etc ftw

I guess that time I, as an SL40 invader, got 400k souls from killing a phantom just didnt happen. Genius.
